Why must I try to do things on my own
Why must I lie to myself and always feel alone
But God I know You're there
You've been there all along
Continually I turn my head when I know You're calling me
And how I don't want to live my life on the other side of Your will.

Every morning I wake with so much on my mind
I'm really not that busy, but I do it all the time
He's telling me to be still and know that He is God
But Lord answer my prayer
Why do I have to make this so hard
But I'm taking it all in stride
